Ni Hao from Formosa!
Hi! I’m Jade, a second-year master’s student in IT and Learning at the University of Gothenburg. I’m so excited to share my incredible internship experience in Taiwan last autumn!
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Education in Taiwan for offering me this opportunity through the Taiwanese Experience Education Program (TEEP) in collaboration with National Kaohsiung Normal University.
During my internship, I worked as an English assistant at a primary school in Kaohsiung, where we integrated Generative AI to design class activities, create lesson plans, and develop worksheets.

This experience has been one of the most rewarding in my life—not only did I enjoy working with students and meeting interns from around the world, but I also had the opportunity to take basic Mandarin classes through the program.

And believe it or not, Taiwanese food is absolutely delicious! I couldn’t stop eating, especially Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese braised pork belly with rice) and, of course, bubble tea! You can find bubble tea on almost every corner—just like Pressbyrån in Sweden. I guess Taiwanese people really love their tea!
One of the things I love most about TEEP is that it offers a variety of programs, including IT, biomedicine, digital technology, chemistry, and many more. I highly recommend this program, and I truly believe that if you join, you’ll fall in love with Taiwan just like I did.
